Does any one out there know of a three bolt multi carb (three or six) intake for the early 302 motors I have been searching the net and am now totally fed up with that. I want to use the mooneyes fuel injection strombergs but more realistcly will probably end up using the Speedway super 97s either way I am screwed with out the right intake Thanx in advance and Happy turkeyday
Blue Thunder makes a 3x2 but you have run adapters for Holley 94s or Stromberg 97's. Man-A-Fre made a 4x2 but there super rare. Edelbrock is working on a 3x2 intake but it's not out yet.
Thanks Beatnik, I have the same issue. The Blue thunder intake with the adapters is much cleaner than the Vintage Speed adapters, much better flow too.
Why is it that the tri carb intake for SBF's are so damned rare? Didn't Shelby offer one as an option? Ford in the 60's had one too didn't they?
Yes, but they all were offered only with the 2300 Holleys. It is in the same mystery catagory of "why weren't any aftermarket 3x2 intakes made for the 348-409 Chevy W engine?" So, it's all about adapters.
The adaptors on the Blue Thunder, can be index to allow the air/fuel to flow unrestricted..Just take some time. Duane..
