stromberg 59's ??????

    i came across a two piece 6x2 intake this weekend a an antique dealer this weekend, one side had three ford holley 59's and the other had three stromberg 59's has anybody ever herd of 59's and if so any info. they also looked to be made of brass or copper possibly.....

    1946/1948 cars and 1946 trucks.
    the carb is a stromberg ford 94 ,but model number 59 kind of fords way of screwing everything up with the names and numbers, shopuld have 59 on the bowl

    thanks for the info is there any difference in the model 59 vrs a reg 94?

    well i think it has a different base doesnt follow the arc of a stromberg 94 and i believe the bore
    measured in inches 11/16th bore instead of 94 hndreds ,the base mught have two channels to allow the idle circuit more air instead of the holes the real strombergs have , i think chancellor made em for ford? the kit is the same been awhile since i handled the carbs to compare ,
