I would like some help learning the differences between the 2 Stromberg bases I have here. The one on the right has a large EE-1 while the one on the left has EE7. As you can see in the photos the one on the left has had some brazing added to it. I have searched for the differences using EE-1 and EE7 but I am not having much luck.

Is one a primary and one a secondary. The mounting holes are different on the base. And for the set up I am trying to use it looks like I will need two EE-1, is that typical?

D shaped is an early Stromberg, 1934 til almost end of production, triangular base very late production. There are no secondary ones. The late base comes with off-idle ports like early and with off idle ports extended out. I think the brazing repairs a botched attempt to add a vacuum port. Mounting holes should be the same, outer shape only is different. Triangulated base visually matches Ford carbs.

Thank you for the quick help.

Does anyone have a EE-1 base they would like to sell?
