Last night was a long night... What I thought was going to be a simple night turned into a nightmare... I removed the head from my MoPar flathead 6 with ease and minimal problems... So then I decided to move on to the intake and exhaust manifolds to continue cleanup of the engine...

At first, everything was going fine... Until I removed all nuts and spacers.... Then I could not get the manifold OFF... it was absolutely seized...

I tried penetrating lube, WD40, hammer, and pry bar... I tried what I could without damaging anything and nothing work...

If anyone has any suggestions It would be absolutely appreciated...

    Thank you!

If I recall there is a couple of bolts tucked in the area under the carb. Might be hard to see if it's full of grease and ***orted crud. I've fought with the bolts and studs on a couple of mopar flatties but once they're out the manifold falls off.

It was late and I had a few beers in me, and I was alone and I usualy have a buddy there to catch what I miss... I am sure I removed all nuts, but I will go back out in a bit and verify if I did remove them all...

Been there before. Thought I had them all (also on a dodge flat 6), turned out I missed a hidden one, dang near fell off then.

You may have to dig - years of crud can completely cover the undersides of the ports & hardware. It WILL fall off when unbolted ...

Yes... you were all right... I didnt just miss one.... but two... I still couldnt really see the two bolts that I missed, but I had my son get his head in there and he confirmed that there were two more bolts...

I scratched my head for hours last night and it only took my son and about 30 sec this afternoon...
