My less than a year old, rebuilt stromberg has the power valve frozen in it.
The power valve was removed during the rebuild, but is now stuck solid.
Anybody got any tips on removing it or why its stuck even?
Its getting to the stage were it looks like the body is going to be s**** if I can't re-move.

    Thanks

    Thanks Bruce.

As you said there must be something dodgy happening down there as less than a year ago this was bascially a brand new carb, with no frozen parts.

I made up a srew driver that fitter perfect with the slot in the middle to clear the needle. We haven't actually stripped the head (yet), but we've put so much pressure/force on it that it has actually 'fanned' out the slot in the power valve head!

I really didn't want to start drill this thing out as it is going to become messy, but it may end up that way.......

Stick that ****er in a pan of boiling hot water for a while, then try it again. i have found that it usually works great on getting stuff loose. just remember to wear good gloves when taking it out.
