I have a 1962 GT Hawk that i just installed new engine in, factory 289, 4 speed, twin tract, also redoing a 1941 Studey cruisin sedan.
I've got a '64 Stude Cruiser with a SBC 350 w/ TH350 trans and the Stude 44 rear. The 350 has Edelbrock RPM manifold, MSD, Comp XE274 cam and valve train, SpeedPro pistons and internals, Melling, GM '69 Z-28 oil pan and windage tray, Dart Iron Eagles. Trans has complete TCI internals, valve body, and convertor. Have a '58 Ford 9" to rebuild as the flanged axles and 3.08 Stude rear won't cut it. Ain't a Hawk but a sleeper it is!
When I took this pic last year, the old man (gray haired) hadnt seen the bottom of the car since 1969. http://home.att.net/~oldsranch3/studebaker/DCP04763.JPG

I'm actualy on my way out the door to pick my new engine for my 51 starlight coupe. 289 studebaker power!!!!!!! Hope to have mine back on the road for the hamb drags.
I like that year...but the Photochop is obvious and it looks like a platypus mouth with braces. Gross. Or maybe a Catfish with braces. On the fence on this one.
60 Lark 4dr 259 auto, 61 Lark 4dr wagon, 6cyl stick, 59 SilverHawk, 6cyl stick/od, 50 Stude school bus [short one], getting a Chevy one ton chasis put under it now, 454, 400 turbo, to use to pull my Avion to Hershey. May post some pics when I'm further along.
Im consider trading my 55 buick for a 49 stude flower car, 1 of 11 made and 3 are know to exist, gotta see pics of tho
For your information - the photo of the PACKARD Hawk is NOT photochopped!!!!!!! The "catfish mouth" is part of the charm, OK?
I remember seeing this car in Phoenix at one of the car cruises back when it was in the differant magazines. I have a 52 four door Champion and my dads got a 52 starlight coupe, 60 Hawk, 41 Champion project and a 76 Avanti II (I think it counts). Have had a couple Larks in the past too.
I've got a straight 6 Stude out of a '63 Champ pickup going into a '30 Model A project. Would that count ?!?
I'm dealing on a 53 coupe that had the front swapped 55. I hate gettig stuck but the price is good. here is a 47 and a 62 that I did glass work on
I Have a 47 truck with a 318 in the garage. If that doesn't make me a Stude Dude, I don't know what does. BUT I prefer my 27 Ford, it's all natty and ratty.
