So my current daily driver 56 chevy pickup is getting really long in the tooth...9 years and a ton of miles. I could tear it down and rebuild it but I have always liked the round look of the Studes. I have the opportunity to buy a 49 2R5 shortbed . So if you guys have any picks of hot rod Stude pickups please post em up for inspiration:D

  2. Welp, my buddy, Dan bought this one but it was mounted on an S-10 4x4 chassis. It was cute but he sent it down to road and bought a model A instead. Prolly not what you were looking for danstudepu.JPG

1977 - A guy from Puerto Rico I worked with bought a '49 3/4 ton with a broken Champ engine. It had a really nice blue body & those 16'' Budd wheels that were red from the factory. I gave him a '58 President that somebody gave me - 259, I guess. He went to a truck wrecking yard, found a '56 engineless V8, 5th OD school bus, and a later Stude 3/4 ton axle, & bolted it all together.
Those trucks are very well built, at least he bigger ones I worked on.
