Would like to see some other m5 Stude trucks. Thinking about chopping mine
Any inspiring pictures would be kool

Here is mine taken just today as she is on her new S10 extreme chas .
Seen here staying over at a friends for a bit.

I think one of the charms of the M-series is the high doors and slanted windshield. It already looks like it's mildly chopped compared to the Fords


and Chevys


of the same era.

Of course if you aren't 6-3 (like me) take all you want off the top!

 

1941 stude, 3 inch top chop, 2 inch pancaked hood, 2 inch sectioned cowl, front fenders raised 4 inchs, 2 inchs cut from the bottom of cab, chaneled 6 inchs, wide fives with quickchange. 4 wheel disc brakes , 302 ford w/ 5 speed . built by Johnrodz , lanexa va

 

No pics handy, but I chopped mine 1&1/2" It was worth it just to lean the posts. I wouldn't have gone more without a section.

 

Maybe this M-5 with a 185 will get a few looks? 1946 Model.

Nice engine ,would love to make mine look like that. I have an aluminum head for mine but it doesn't say Studebaker on it.

I do not think they need to be chopped because of the high beltline they already look chopped. every time I see one that is chopped it looks oddly out of proportion the one body change that I have seen on an M5 that I like is when they raise the bed up so the bed rail lines up with the body line. I will dig up a picture of what is looks like and post it here.

I like mine cut! This is 1&1/2" I did it more for the rake. Pretty easy chop too. any more and it would get more complicated, and I think it would need a section.

 

I just drug this '57 Stude home with its new Bling hood ornament.

 

This belongs to my best friend. The cab is not chopped, but it has been stretched a few inches and the roof was re-worked to take the crown/bubble out of it.

Interesting, don't think I've ever seen the rear fenders put on backwards/wrong side like that before.

 

I've seen several of them done like that.
