I'm an "idiot", that is indeed definable. I won't argue with myself. Have you figured out how to post pictures of your stuff yet ? Give them something else to talk about. Pictures rule in "help" threads.

Post them up already. Think thicker skin, and roll with it man. Nobody cares unless you show them something interesting. Even my four year old knows that much. Hey Dad .... look poop !!! :) Yep, that it is.

You've had several metal magicians already respond here .... inside of this ******* match. The mediator in me wants to post some of their threads to help ... but the HAMB in me enjoys the train wrecks too. Ralph Kramden can weld and yell with them all. Gotta' love 'em regardless.

WELCOME TO THE H.A.M.B. !!!! (by the way) Stubebakers !

In response to your constant provocations. "There are none so blind as those who will not see".

I am done here. Go in peace.

So you said the rocker panels on your car had been cut out and the car had sagged, right? If I were you, I would work on getting the body squared back up and getting some rockers on it first. Once you've got that done, get a solid floor in it. That will hold everything where it needs to be. There is no point in putting any more time or money in the body if you can't get it straight and true. As for the lead, strip off all of the paint. That will tell you where the lead is. Then, take a torch and melt it out. If the metal is thin and brittle, cut it all out and make a patch panel. There is no magic 'wand' that will fix thin old metal. That should be enough to get you started.

All I have to say about the writing situation is this, communication is the cornerstone of getting things done. If no one can understand the situation you are trying to explain or the point you are trying to make, then you must find another way to communicate it to them. If the problem is the talk to text feature of your phone is not properly translating your message, then it's up to you to stop using it and type your message so it can properly communicated and understood. It's not the responsibility of the reader to decipher a message, it's the responsibility of the person sending the message to make sure it is understandable to the reader.

  6. God love you kid for being the motivationalist that you are.
This OP problem here really has nothing to do with anything on topic for the hamb, because it not a problem with an awesome studie bakers. There's no way technical edification of metal work will be helpful either since that's not the problem. S**** feeding a welding manual won't help either since that's not the problem.

The problem is preconceived notion that there's a problem with the metal that studebakers are made from. That the possessed knowledge is all inclusive and there is no more and that everyone else is an ***hole. How are you gonna fix that?

Punctuation is also important as Capitalization is, as in:

Mostly I feel sorry for this kid's Studebaker. He has showcased his inep***ude in spelling, grammar, education, welding, and differentiating various metals. You add to this the arrogance he uses to try and cover his shortcomings, and there's no way this poor car stands a chance of completion.

Now that is funny. He sure acted like some young kid. He is just an old fart like the rest of us but with a chip on his shoulder.

Not much hope for him figuring it out. Have to agree with Chaz.

If he's 53, there went his only decent excuse for being a ****.
