Well guys I am in the process of putting together a 1920's Studebaker touring car. It is on a 2x3 ch***is with Model A crossmembers. I just started it this weekend. I will post more pics of the progress. I plan to only build it so far then offer it for sale when i feel it is ready. I have to do this to pay for the keepers. Anyway let me know what ya think so far.

Cool. I had a 1917 Studebaker touring car for a little while. Those are some long cars.

Yeah it is long. But I think it will make it look good when I get it together.

The 32 grille is all I have that will fit the lines on the body . It is a fibergl*** shell anyways. I am only building it so I can sell it. It will be a roller with brakes and maybe a motor and trans I have kicking around not sure yat if I want to go that far. I will not put paint on the car but I plan to have it in primer. The frame will be painted and should be rolling on 15" wire wheels or steel wheels not sure I havent got that far yet. But I really liked the Green touring that I saw in a magazine this year. It had What looked like Radir wheels on it. I would like to see a picture of that if anyone has one.

That is seriously cool. I love touring cars. Everybody always cuts 'em up into RPUs and mods, I hate that.

A dual cowl would look great with the long body.

YEP!!! That one is a keeper and a driver. I drive the **** out of it. Although it is getting cold now. I have to get my top fixed so I can put it back on. But I have a cover for the back. Oh yeah about the Stude what does a dual cowl look like? I am not sure I know what they look like.

Well I am framing seat backs as you can see. Yes they are framed with EMT. But I am skinning them with a real heavy gauge sheet steel. I figure the back area can work both as an area for the gas tank and a storage trunk. When I finish the floor I will post more pics. I am contemplating if I should put my 425 Caddy in this one.

  15. Those Studes are hard to make look good, but I think you are getting there! I LIKE that 32 shell, your seat back idea is nice as well.
