Features Studebaker's lets see them

  1. 53 COOP's been a slow project, and now I have to get a shoulder replacement this month. But enough about me...

Here's the state of the back end of the customizing, featuring cut-down '56 Packard taillights:

After the shoulder it's top chop time!!!

To me, that's what a good custom should be... It's a radical, yet subtle change that will look like it was always that way. It will look better than stock! Man that looks great!!

They're to break(disrupt) the airflow over the roof if the car gets sideways, so in theory, it won't lift-off, fly, crash n crumple.

Like the keel on the bottom of a boat they help it go straight. On the salt at speed the tires like a little help.

    Both nice Studes, Thanks!

I just noticed that the fresh air door on the front fender is reversed. Looks like there isn't one on the driver's side in the "New Car" photo. What's that about?

I actually didn’t ask the fellow who built the car. I noticed that it was facing backwards and I assumed it was to evacuate air from the engine compartment.

there are a lot of neat little details to this car that I’m discovering now that it’s in my garage.

I think your assumption is correct. Now I wonder why the one on the driver's side was welded up.

My latest project...a 1964 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire with optional 289ci V8 and extremely rare 4 speed transmission. Did a video exploring and researching this thing, as well as figuring out how to open the sliding roof.
