I know its not really that time of year but I'm in Rome Ga a lil bit north of Atlanta for the rest of this week and a week next month. I'm looking for a way to kill some time while I'm in town. Anyone got any suggestions? Know of any hot rod/bike shops? I'd really like to find a pick a part somewhere in driving distance. Thanks!
im in catersville, aprox 25 miles from you. you can come over at nite and hang out in theshop and help block sand ! just kidding, give me a call, mark 678-713-6220
I will apologize in advance but "When in Rome do as the Romans do"! Seriously,,send some of the Sock Fokkers a PM and ask them,,Tudor or Stevie G might be able to point you in the right direction. HRP
LOL...I've been saying that for over a week now! I was here last week and I did as the romans did...I've eaten fried steak at every diner in 60 miles!
We do lunch @ Lucky's in Roswell this Sunday at 12:30 I'll send you an "invite"(its open to all who can handle it) to the SFCC friends group, hope you aren't easily offended. Mills & Co. in Marietta is worth a drive durring buisiness hrs M-F http://millscustoms.com/
Got a good junkyard, Yarbrough's Auto Parts on Collard Valley Rd. north of Aragon, about 15 miles or so south of Rome off GA 101. Occasionally gets some older stuff and puts it up on the hill. They'll let you roam the yard and pull your own parts.
Man I'd be all for it but I'm out on Friday! Oh and I assure you I'm not easilly offended! I ate at the Marietta Diner last week holy crap was that an experience! Thanks! I'll look into that thanks!
I'd say if it was 2 months or so ago you could of watched some cotton pickers racing around, getting their last crops harvested
also just found out there is a corvette showroom in summerville ga. not sure if your into vetts, but looks like some pretty neet stuff. try this vintagecorvetts.com.also the home of a famous folk artisit is in summerville, and right now i can't think of his name,if your into that kind of stuff. howard finster, google him
What's this about the "Marietta Diner"? Sounds like maybe a place the Sock Fuckers should investigate. But only if they serve beer and don't mind a little rowdiness!
It was a little more high class than I expected from a diner, but the food was killer! My boss found it on one of those food network Diner shows. The portions were huge. The country fried steak could litteraly feed 2 and I'm not a small guy. I however didn't eat the country fried steak, because...well the company was paying so why would I order something under 30 dollars? The breakfast looked kick ass and I can say that the deserts were great. You guys really know how to do it in the south! I can't get over the amount of old cars I'm seeing in peoples yards and driveways that look way solid compaired to what I'm used to!
