I have a fathead I got in the 40 Ford coupe I am redoing. It has a stock aluminum intake. Is this normal?

Oh yea it also developed a hole after soda blasting on the riser neck for the carb. Small about 1/8" dia. Alright to patch it?

What is this intake by the way?

On '49 to '53 Canadian flatheads, the intake and timing cover was aluminum.
You should try to put a picture up for us to see.
