Stupid question and pic request 53/54 chevy

I was thinking about cutting the posts on my 54 chevy when I go to chop it. I havent really seen this done on many 53s or 54s. I *think* tiny had a 53 chevy that had the posts cut to make it look like a hardtop.

anyone have any pics of tech on the subject?

There was one like that in the Pacific NW back in the late 50s-early 60s. If I were going to do that, I would think verrry hard about finding a convertible frame, which has the extra bracing necessary to keep everything from flexing too much.

It would be worth the effort, as the one I mentioned above is one of the best-looking 53-54 Chevies I've ever seen.
