Building a 1938 Olds and want to know the best sub frame to used. I have a 1976 Nova frame and would like to know if it a good choice or use something else.

  2. I think the rear-steer early Nova/Camaro sub might be a better choice. Narrower track width and steering box in behind rather than in front of suspension.

We have a 72 Nova rear steer in our 50 Chevy. It's a hair wide but drives great. Building stuff to rehang the front sheet mrtal is the biggest hurdle.

i think the front steering box will be into the front fender about 4 " it was on the 38 chevy delivery we bought [that did not have the front sheetmetal hung on it] now we know why
