the s-10 idea sounds good ...lots of parts for those and there cheap to pickup.to bad i went against my better judgement and stayed with the ford motor....i'll put a tape to one.got pics???
Hey Bullet.... too bad you don't live closer to me.... I'd let you drive my 53 for a ride on a twisty, bumpy, and groved out road so you could see, ride, and steer for yourself. I used the stock steering box with the Jamco stuff without any problems and the system just plain tightens everything up. I looked at everything out there and made many, many phone calls before talking to Jim at Jamco. Glad I made that call. If I get another 50's Ford I would buy their kit as my first change for that car. This stuff just works..... period! Good luck on your project
my 38' ford truck has 50' ford clip (old hot rod) and is getting ECI disc kit (aerostar rotors and springs) and a center steer rack. got a feeling trying to "wring out" the factory bumpsteer won't happen though it might lessen it a little.
