    So I went down to my shop today to do some junk like pick up a door for the gto and my dad & bro and I decided to try and start the '49. It RAN! ok for a few seconds and mostly on starter fluid, but it ran, had oil pressure and no funny clanging or rattles. Even the carb seemed to work pretty well. I don't think it had been started in 20+years. Maybe it'll make it to the round-up afterall.

    Sounds good man. As long as it starts up in the morning drive it. What I always say is if the motor fires up drive it. Good luck. [​IMG]

    yeah it is a great feeling. Now I gott find some motor mounts. Someone said I could get them at Napa... Have a part number? the guy at the napa here couldn't find them. '49 6cyl
