Ryan, I've noticed that there have been several threads that discuss a safety issue. One posted yesterday had a great discussion about oxygen bottles, an oil-soaked glove and the resulting explosion. I've seen and participated in a couple of others, one in particular discussed compressed air piping and the non-use of PVC pipe. Would it be possible to add the word "safety" to those threads that discuss a safety issue? Then add them to the Tech Archive. That way someone could do a search on safety issues. I did a search on the Tech Archive before I started this thread and only came up with four, and those weren't really safety related. If we did this we could keep some of the H.A.M.B.'s out of the doctor's office or the hospital and keep them on-line for you. I know it would be impossible to go back through the archives and add "safety" to the ones that applied. But you could do it as a start now. That would be O.K. since topics keep coming up again and again when new people join. Just a suggestion. Phil, aka AZAV8
I too think shop safety is very important and should be taken seriously but I also think the Tech Archive is for tech if you need to know the proper use of personal protective gear and safe handling of materials and equipment please feel free to ask on the main board. and of course if you have any suggestions for shop safety again please feel free to bring it up on the main board as well. these I believe are topics worth bringing up often. we all need to be reminded of how serious things can become if care is not exercised thank you for the suggestion Paul
