I'm running a 3 inch channel job on my 34 ford with a flathead .
Who should I order a radiator from. Many company's are not offering a 3 inch chop on one . I don't want a cheap o flat radiator. I want one with the correct tank on top
    Any help?

Could you have a radiator shop cut 3"out of the core of an original radiator and make it work? My car is channeled 6" and running a deuce grill/Walker radiator so no help there.

Might check with Br***Works (HAMB Alliance member and great guy). Quick and excellent work.

i used Mattson, they will build it exactly to your needs. Full custom sizes and mounts. They built me a very custom sized radiator for my 34.

ive checked several companies. not to many were wanting to do a chopped flathead 34 radiator with the correct brackets. and to get one close, that i could have someome modify, im looking at over 550$. so i was looking around on ebay and i may buy one made for a SBC that is chopped, with generic brackets. they are cheap.. if im going to have to modify it a bunch, i mise well start with a cheaper core!. i did pick up an orignal top tank mount for the rad support rods, this will make sure the grill and hood rods are in stock location and i can fit the radiator to that along with my grill mounting tabs. adding water inlets and outlets is cake work, so thats no worry. im also going to trim off the side mount filler neck and put it on top where it belongs

You can take my opinion with a grain of salt but....

I know they are pricey but Walker Radiators have been building radiators for many years,,I have used most every ones radiator on the market today and finally came to the conclusion that Walkers are the most trouble free and correct looking radiators on the market. HRP

Try C.A.R.S ( Custom Auto Radiator Service) in NJ. They custom build them from scratch and probably will do it. You might have to send them drawings/measurements though, for a chopped radiator. Been using them on all my builds for 25+ years.
They built one for a 34 Terraplane from scratch for me, will everything I needed on it (trans cooler, AC condensor, sensor bungs). Not cheap, but very well done!

My biggest thing with the radiator is, the entire proper alignment of the hood and inner fenders and the body depends in a correctly positioned grill on a radiator. So I was hoping to get a bolt On unit such as walker or br*** works.
I'm going to make a few calls today and see what I can come up with .

I talked with the Br***works guy on the phone once about custom making a radiator for my weird application. He sounded like he could do it and the cost wasn't too much more than the Walker standard stuff. If all you need is a '34 that X inches shorter, it should be easy for him to construct, right?
