I wouldn't feel bad at all, man. You KNOW the new owner will seriously enjoy her, so take pleasure in that. Nice job, can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Damn, that car is right on! Love it, man! Love it. '30-ish Art Deco with some aviation thrown into the mix. Very, very nicely done. Wanna do another '28 like that? I'll send her down your way....
Congrats on the sale! I'm glad you finished it and in the end loved it, even enough to not want to see her go. I hope it made it to Michigan ok. After this weekend the new project will be under way
heidi.....keep yer mouth shut! shhhhhhhhhhhh busch...thanks alot! banjo...i sent you a p-m thanks Zach
So it's the Sport Coupe you're selling. I plan to keep the roof on mine, but yours turned out awesome. Have you posted your build trick on the conversion? I'm thinking you used only the outer half of the doors.
heres a link to some more info http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111847&highlight=my+new+roadster%3F+SUHRsc i did only use the outer skin of the door and the hinge area made the top edge(thinned), new bottom with a body line, new inner structure with different latches they're shortened 3inches too i took the 3" out of the sub rails the rear deck is stretched front about 4 or 5inches with body lines added top and bottom then the whole body is channeled 4" over the frame i think theres some pics of where i cut the quarters in that post thanks Zach
Guys - Haven't been on here inna while, as I've been knee-deep in the process of pullin' the car apart to detail it B4 bolting all back together. It did get home safe and sound. Aaron, Pete and Roadstar - yeah. You get to take a spin in it - honest. Been buying up pieces parts to beat the band; have the following (so far) -Triple deuce Edelbrock SU 359 manifold with Holley 94's; progressive -Isky Max 1 cam, alloy timing gear -NOS 6V genset; offset mount -Canadian Ford alloy heads; shaved with relieved valve pockets to Offy 400 spec comp ratio (about 8.5:1 with a relieved deck) -NOS AC 6V electric fuel pump -Mallory dual point crab dizzy -center dump headers (only ones that will fit with modification) And thats just the go-fast stuff. Got the flywheel in the back of the MotherShip so's it can be shipped off for shaving. The intent is to continue where Zach left off and build an early postwar period car with a pretty hot mill - somewhere between 160-180 HP. And no...it won't be a trailer queen. It will be on the street this summer, kickin' asphalt.
