...and you chime in complaining about the complainers as if your opinion is somehow better. the circle of life is complete

  2. Well, this is the H.A.M.B. after all. If you ask a question, you're going to get answers and frequently they are not the ones you wanted. Tough bunch around here.

  3. Nope, that's not even the question he asked.

These narrow minds you speak of, perhaps they are on a niche web forum with a narrow target subject matter. Just a thought. :D

I thought that his question, has anyone done this and have any how to and pictures was what he asked. I didn't see his question, (should I do this ?) My mistake.

Aren't you complaining about a complainer? What makes you think your opinion is better than mine? Now the circle of life is complete.

Has anyone made suicide doors on a Ford Model Tudor Sedan using the stock hinges?
Looking for how to pictures and
    information?

He got information from people with direct experience either performing the modification he is considering...OR direct experience DEALING with the modification he is considering.
Some for it, and some against.
Personally that is exactly what I would WANT to get if I posted a question like this.
That way he gets to weigh the pros and the cons...

My wife's step-brother, a body man extraordinaire, (worked for Bill Harrah in the body shop) is putting hidden hinges on the FRONT of his doors on his 34 Ford tudor sedan.

would you believe the picture above is the famous MODEL A , Chrisman Brothers Coupe? (not even a 1932) Before they got it back and saved it. [IMG] from the mess BARRIS made of it.?

I would say the door open into roof was for easier entrance and exit
I think it looks good both ways

  11. See, that's what happens when we let you do your own thinking.

Let me give you an example of a question. Read it carefully and tell me the difference.

Original posters type of question first:
Has anyone here __had sex__with stock stuff? Looking for how to info and pics?
    Vs
    Your version :
    "a guy asks -
What's the best way to __have sex__with his [___] and bitch moan complain interject your hurt feelings where they don't belong. Show your self to be lost.

    See the difference?

Not only did you insert your very own opinion with an intent to antagonize- you based the belligerent opinion off of your (incorrect btw) own interpretation of what the original posts said and then you got your panties in a wad. Basically it's all your fault anyway it's looked at.

You can apologize or we can continue.

Your version of my version doesn't seem like my version to me but falcon George seems to agree so I will just apologize and move on as you ask.

Never did a Model T , but did my model a, used after market hinges, flushed doors and shaved the handles, rounded top door corners, Only did all this because my doors never shut worth a damn. Not that hard but a lot of work. The front area, has a jamb, back and top does not, will have to form a jamb. If you come on the Hamb and ask about flush doors, you better have thick skin :) After all the years on it , lot of guy talk a lot of crap, and don't even own anything worth a damn and talk a but load of trash ( damn keyboard jockeys) :) but it is what makes it interesting , and keeps me coming back, Luv the place, even the A-holes :) If you want more info PM me.

Whoa! Sorry. Yes the Isetta does have a place in history, but so does Herpes, and Condoms doesn't mean they are "Iconic"

I have been driving '33 / '34 coupes since the mid ninties, had the doors SWING OPEN on every one, yes dead bolts, but you forget the trash has to go out, you go back, your brain says you used the deadbolt, but it was 2 minutes ago, hit the RR tracks and woosh...
i worry about them ALL the time... if the car looked the same with normal doors would be the best for me..
just my opinion but you might ask all the suicide door rodders you know if they would do that to your model A...
also, IMO...the suicide door extends forward of the glass's vertical plane, because of that ford was able to narrow it as it extends forward, your A door's leading/trailing edges are wide, flat and not very eye friendly..
But, if you still want to, look closely at the A door skin's folded over edge, some have slight cut outs where the hinges would have been if the skin was used on the other door... perfect to know where to cut the hinge slots..
didn't do this but i made a '28 tudor passenger door fit the driver's side of the '29 coupe...

Hmmm, How about someone just answer the initial question without interjecting their opinion cause we all know what opinions are like.
