Even with the price of fuel at all time highs, we still have to leave home sometimes. Is anyone else going to Bonneville in August to watch McTim race the Y Block?

I'd love to see Bonneville some time in my life.. at least before it disappears. I was thinking about doing a road trip to SEMA in Vegas this year, but now you got me thinking about taking a little detour through Utah.

bonneville would be a fun trip, but hamb drags much closer. they both happen same month.

would you drive your old car or go for the modern daily driver?

My current plans are to drive the F150 with cold air and a V6 in August, then the 55 with the Y block to the September meet. This is the 55 that has been raced the past four years in September, but no more racing in its future. The race motor has been sold, we now have a mild 312. From the mid-west to Wendover in September with no A/C is not bad. I dont want to try in August, I have seen 106 all the way across Wyoming in August.

No way I'll make it, but will be waving the Y-Block flag here in Michigan for McTim.

Don, thanks for the heads up. My wife said I could go as long as she doesn't have to go. Now I just need to get a buddy to share the driving. Something I always wanted to see.

have seen 100 plus many times crossing nevada, utah and wyoming (former otr driver). that would put the cooling system to a heck of a test.
