SUMMIT RACING: Anyone here work for 'em??? Website Q's?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by PEDDRO, Jan 9, 2004.

  1. Ordered a part over their website back in mid-December but my order status is "PENDING". I ***ume it's being delayed for some reason (I've paid for it and selected my shipping method to Australia), but can't get any response from them as to why. Does their online ordering system work?
Are they on a break? (Do you guys have holidays over Xmas, like us?)
Anyone had any similar dealays with them before and found a solution. I haven't tried ringing them yet (time difference makes it a pain in the ****).

FWIW: Not *****ing! And nobody turn this into a ***** session either! I don't want that: just a possible solution.

i use the online summit ordering system very often. when i do, i have my part in 2 days every time. have you called the 1-8000 number? i had once ordered the wrong part and had to send it back for the exchange. i called the 1800 number and asked what the status was on it. they told me everything i needed to know. i suggest calling the 1-800 number.

    Peddro,

I ordered from Summit on the Net recently and had no problems. Quick service. Same with Speedway.

Shipping to OZ has to be a killer. I've ordered some things from OZ and paid dearly. [IMG]

Give them a call, they have great customer service, at least they've always been good to me.

  5. i just ordered online too and got my parts in two days. why don't you just email them? there has to be a "contact us" somewhere on their site

  6. Was it a Chrysler part? I once tried to order rocker arms from them, and (not really their fault) they were put on 2 months backorder. Mopar didn't have any. So it could be a vendor problem.

I mean it, don't be afraid to call them, they are one of the last companies that still believes in customer service. You WILL be able to speak to someone and straighten the problem out within a minute or two. If you email them, it might be a couple more days until they ever see it.

Peddro, I have ordered stuff from them in the past here to the UK, I normaly get my stuff within a week. The 1-800 does not work outside the USA. One time I had a problem with an order, the guy had screwed up some part numbers which I noticed when checking my order online. Because of the time difference I sent them a fax marked urgent with big writing on it and asked for them to confirm it had been delt with by e mail. Next morning when I woke up it was sorted........

  9. Thanks guys. Finally got an email back from them. Apparently they missed my first email (they reckoned I didn't reply), so I resent it. Sometimes this automated stuff ain't fool-proof, methinks. Wish they would have contacted me again, that's all!

Part is just an Accel dizzy for a 302.

  10. Well, no reply to my reply and no alteration in the status of my order. I paid for this stuff over a MONTH ago. How the hell do these guys expect to keep international customers happy if they don't check the only point of contact we have with them(the 1800 and 1300 numbers DO NOT work overseas!!!). WTF? [IMG] I can't even find a real phone number listed!

Just a sidenote: a mate is waiting on me to see how my order goes before he orders some BBF stuff himself. Guess who WON'T be buying a $1000 worth of parts after I've been screwed around over $300!?! [IMG]

The 1-330 Numbers don't work??? I thought that was the regular area code there!?! 1-330-630-0220 is the "order status hotline"; which I figured would be a toll call.
