Found a Sun 200 machine for sale locally. Price tag is $70. Looks pretty good. I'm thinking for $70, it doesn't sound too bad. Anybody know what these things are worth and how to fix it if something doesn't work?

It was new when those cards were printed with the tune up info on them.
If everything works they are simple and good old machines. I'd say you would probably get more use out of the vacuum gauge than the rest of it and the cabinet is good to store your timing light and what not in. It was pretty simple stuff and when they came out with scopes it became obsolete in most shops but if the meters work they will be useful on older rigs with points and condensers.

I would jump on it for 70.00. I sell the cards for 3.00 each at swap meets and in my antique mall booth. I have been surprised how well they sell. I paid 100.00 for a box of cards that ran from about 1965 to 1982 recently. I have never sold a big machine but it should be worth a lot more than 70.00.

I have a box of cards, older, I guess I could go into business. the box was free.

$70 is reasonable for the machine.

Fixing it is an iffy proposition, but usually the simple ones like that don't break

Going to pick it up Sunday. I think it looks cool enough to be worth $70. Appreciate the replies.

Don't know if anybody was intently watching this thread, but for anybody who cares, the deal fell through. ******* backed out of it. Guessing some idiot must have told him that it's worth a ton more than $70. That's frustrating. I figure I'll just wait for the next one to come up for sale.

Keep watching, they come up for sale all of the time. A lot of them on Ebay end up with no bids.

Thanks for the link. I am fascinated by these old machines. What do you search for on Ebay? Seems like I get a lot of junk that comes up and no old Sun equipment. I'll keep watching.
