Ok, how many Hamber's have em and what are in's and out's of repairing em and using them? I just picked up a 400 series . I have used other machines in the past but never a Sun. After an initial test it appears the strobe isn't functioning... I know there is an LED kit wondering what others have done.
I have always had one of these, The one I had before this one was a 400 and the strobe went out on it. I took it apart and there was a wire problem near the rotating chuck, I don't remember exactly what it was but I would take it apart and look before I bought an expensive LED setup for it
I bought my machine a few years ago. The strobe didn't work, I used the capacitor repair kit that Paramount sells and that got it going again, didn't need to upgrade to the LED strobe unless there's a problem with that also. The capacitor kit is way cheaper so I'd start with that.
