I figured I'd ask here, because I'll get my answer in like 5 minutes... what the heck model timing light is this?

I've been wanting one, but have no clue as to the model number I should be looking for.

I ask, because this kind of followed me home last weekend:

  3. That thing was a great deal! Now you need a cabinet.
I'll look at mine but it won't be until Monday now.

I don't know what model it is, but I have one very similar but without the advance dial.

It can probably be decoded from the model number on the scope it's self. I'm thinking mid to late 60's though. In the early 70's they went to the cabinet with the gauges all in a panel rather than the gauges in separate housings like that one had.

Here is an SS 400 on Ebay that is at least a pretty close relative to the one you have. Ebay item number 200772560006 I sure to hell hope you didn't pay anywhere close to his asking price though. He appears to have the same timing light you have.

That sounds like a fair deal. If the vacuum gauge and the volt meter work it's worth that. A lot of equipment like that one got stuck aside when the shops bought newer equipment that would handle the newer electronic ignitions higher voltage and spent years stuck in the back room.

I would google some of the model numbers and any other part numbers you might see,try some different combinations of them, you would be soprised at what will come up.have your printer ready to print some instructions, and your good to go. Harvey
