I have a Sun Super Tach in my '66 Opel Admiral and while it's hooked up somehow, it still refuses to work. It's said to be tested and ok, so I guess it's connected wrong. Some pictures to follow...
And her's how the tach is hooked up to the distributor. I see some loose wire there, but I have no idea what goes where and I don't want to screw something up...
Looks like it's hooked up correct.... Red (ign. +) Black (ground) Green (coil neg or tach spade on HEI) White (tach light))
I've read that some Sun tachs don't work with electronic ignition, but I don't know which ones. You might see if you can get some information from Williamson (works on Sun tachs). Larry T
I see a yellow one there (or maybe white) that doesn't lead anywhere, but that's probably the light. But I can't see the ground in the pics - maybe there's the problem?
>>>>>,That looks like a Model SST-802 ,,if it is one made before '70 ,,it won't werk with HEI ignition ,,only points type ,,,take the cup off and look at the date stamped on the back ,,,
