i bought a chevy coe a few weeks ago and it has this tach in it. looks military, any idea,s as to it,s age and origin. how long has sun been around?
I recently pulled a 6v 6cyl Sun tack from a '54 Dodge truck. It has been sitting since the late '50s/early '60s. It is the transistor type and looks like the ones we all know and goes to 4500 RPMs. Your truck is '52-'53? It looks military. I'd say mid '40s to early '50s.
My Mom worked for Sun Electric for 25 years..though that looks a little before her time there. She started mid 50s. In the 60s..I got Sun Tachs..Test Equip..prototype stuff sometimes in crude cases. Still have a couple 60s tune up kits..(Red box..dwell meter..timing light..compression gauge etc) The older stuff...Uh..another..shoulda kept...!
