Sun tach question

    Any updates ?:D Anyone get one of them new SUN sweep tachs yet?

    The transmitter box can be converted to soild state. They work great. I think it is around $300.00. Todd

    I have one of the new Sun tachs. I hooked it up just to check it out and I don't think it's very accurate, but I just did a quick check to make sure the needle moved.
    MSD makes an adaptor (actually 2) to run a Sun Tach with their box. I haven't tried it to see how it works.
    If you're going for the early look, one of the things that stands out to me is the NC1 deep cup as opposed to the NC5 shallow cup.

    On the"new" old looking Sun what wire do you hook it to on HEI dist. harness? Thanks.

    I've heard the batteries are nonexistent. Thats why people are spending $180 at places like Williamsons for the conversion. I know this is going to bring on a rash of negative comments but the Mooneyes tach looks just like an old school Sun and can be had for $69.00. You can even get it with out the eyes if you want. The one I have measures engine RPM just like the high dollar tachs.
