A guy I know has a Sun SST-70 Tach he says I might be able to use. He doesn't know whether or not it is for a 6-cyl or 8-cyl. All he knows is that label on the back indicates that it uses an EB-7 transmitter. Does this help? Will this tach work with my V-8, or is it a 6-cyl tach?

The SST-70 was a 7,000 RPM Tach. It could be used with 4,6, or 8 cylinder engines.

If you wanted to use it in a 6 cylinder 12 Volt car, you would need to use the EB7A transmitter. If you wanted to use it in a 6 cyliner 6 Volt car, you would need to use the EB2A transmitter.
