Man, nice stuff you guys are building. Riceman's dragsters are unbelievable, they look real. I'm just getting back into modeling after a 15+ year layoff. Only thing different from what you guys have shown is the one's I'm building for my son, daughter and myself get put in motion every Saturday night. They're not as nice as the ones you guys have built but I think they are pretty cool. This one is my son John's bracket car, 65 Malibu wagon.
Zed, that 56 Chevy is AWESOME. Some patience you must have to pull off a paint job like that on a model. As I said we get to put them in motion, 1/24 scale slot car drag racing. A great winter time substitute for the real thing. This one was built for a heads up Pro Stock class. The body style is not HAMB friendly but the paint job is.
33 Willys sedan delivery. Just started on the chassis today. The body is on the 41 Willys chassis in this photo just to get some idea's for chassis construction. Not sure yet if it's going to be a nose high or nose down Gasser. Will definitely be old school style though.
Nice Zed. I tried making a model of my '48 Fleetline (Galaxie Kit) and never was able to finish it. I can't seem to get the paint to go on as smoothly as you do. It always seems to have orange peel or little raised bumps after it drys. How do you do it dude?

Just a question, I've only posted styrene/resin models here so far. Is diecast worked on/modified models allowed or discouraged here. If not,I understand and will run with that.And is there another thread I can post them to? Thx,Myron.
Modified diecast and modified old Buddy L and Nylint's have all been posted before as long as they fit the type of cars the HAMB is known for.

You don't have to be a good painter to have a very smooth finish, believe me cause i'm not that good when painting! i'm serious !!! buy you a polishing kit with micromesh clothes . I've got one from LMG enterprise ( don't remember where i've bought it cause i've got it for a looong time ) those clothes are from 1800 to 12000... yes 12000 !!!! if you use that carefully, you can erase your orange peel and everyother little problem
