Here are some model offerings from me and my dad (55FORDWGN) in an effort to get some more models up on this sunday! The in-progress 36 ford and the gold merc are mine; the rest are my dads (55FORDWGN) Lets see what you got!
Those look really good. I should post my bondo bucket when I get it done. '37 Ford from AMT. Radical chop, section, custom frame, 426 Hemi, 4-Speed, Nitrous and much more. I have it in a million pieces now so will post when I am done. Yours look good though man.
A couple of us picked up where last weeks thread left off. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428843&page=4 I haven't built a model in over 20 yrs till one of my daughters got this for me at Christmas.
;D Ok, I'm up to no good again!!!!! : I got a hair up my you know what and wanted to do a Hot Rod wrecker but not like anyone would think. I wanted a BIGGER wrecker so I thought of a Pete. Anyway, it's Z'd, will be chopped and sectioned with a V-12 mounted behind the cab, twin blowers. I'm looking for some Superboss or Bandag Bandit rolling stock for it. If I can't find any I'll use the kit rolling stock....... Anyway, here's for you lookie loo's!!!!!!! .
Looks like some added to last weeks thread today, & now we have 2 of them started today. Us model car builders need to figure out a better system or something! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=430705
I think it was the Testors 1 coat lacquer in pure gold. if you haven't used it yet i'd say give that line of paints a try; small relatively inexpensive rattle can and it produces good even paint and dries quickly.
Good looking stuff. I'm currently workin' on Tommy Ivo's "Showboat" and a '66 Buick wildcat lowrider. Yeah... I like Nailheads. Also have a '62 Buick Electra that I'm gonna build. but that one is still firmenting in my mind.
It's still Sunday here, was building all day trying to get the Dodge finished in time to take outdoor pictures, and I almost forgot to get on over here! Here's two new ones, I'm on a Mopar kick, these days. A departure for me as I am building several "real car builds" First is Herb Shannon's 1964 USAC Plymouth Fury, almost OOB from the Lindburg Petty?Golsdsmith re-issue kit. Decals from Gene Shortt. Next is Bobby Isaacs 1964 Ray Nichels/NASCAR Dodge Coronet. Same Lindburg kit chassis but with a Johann body. Wheels and Tires from Modelhaus and Fred Cady decals:
While I don't build circle track models, I can absolutely appreciate Slim's stuff! Very well done! WF
Hey Toner283, here's the rod. It's a Weesner art piece. There's a group of us from a model car club that are doing a "Weesner Art challenge". There's about 12 of us building different pieces and this is mine. It's "Down and Blue".
I can never make it here on Sunday, but I'll throw one up today. This was an old '58 Impala annual kit that I bought from a flea market. It was badly brush painted in black and red, and had all the old louvers, spotlights, fins, bubble skirts, and decals that you would have expected some kid to add in the late '50s. But it was still very much awful. So I redid it to look more factory. Sort of another "reverse-HAMB" for me this week on the models.
