Couldn't find a thread started so here goes... It's a 60 degree sunny February Sunday in Philadelphia, great day for getting out some cruisers! "Old Tool" AMT '57. Watch out for the potholes!... Ertl '50 Olds. Mildest of the Mild... Revell/Monogram '55 Belair. Inspired by the Golden Anniversary car...
Nice Tri-fives. I have to keep remembering that they look just as cool as mild customs/street machines as they do g***ers.
Not quite a mild kustom. more of a hot rod. But still cool. This 40 Ford was built by someone in the early 60's. It has an early olds rocket in it with 8 Dueces backed by a 3 speed top loader. It has cutouts behind the front wheels. I found it at a flee market.
Regarding the nice '55 that DakotaJohn posted, here in Pittsburgh, when Chevy released that color scheme we called it "***ty pink and gunmetal gray". Were we alone in calling it that?
Ill get to a meeting soon, sorry for being absent for a little bit. The car is coming along great, been working on it every spare minute I get, hence my absence from meetings. Im trying to have it done in time for the december indoor show, providing they let me put it in there! I plan to have it ready for paint by late spring/early summer.
