Man that's good work. I love the patina on the seat.

  3. I used to be a member of Scale Motor Cars (SMC) and I swear the talent here on the H.A.M.B. is every bit as good as their best!!

@ ABC123, Thanks man. I like these lil 1/87 scale cars, not much detail needs to be put in it to make them look real kool.

@Mitchell the frame on that 32 is fresh lookin. Real nice.

@gbk that drag cars is real kool lookin. Nice job.

  7. Hey 3oFordNerd, nice sideplater rail. Here's the '34 you wanted to see..

Old Sprinter, I always enjoy seeing your work.
The visual realism you build in is both an inspiration & a challenge for me. :)

All good models this week. Nice turn out. See you all next week.

  10. Fellas, it's the old Monogram 1/24 'Beach Boys' 3W deuce disaster. I re-worked it around the leading edges of the roof (above the windscreen), as well as around the A & C pillars to get it to look right. They were no-where-sville outta the box. Apart from the coupe body, it's the 'Little deuce' tool, with a nice set of chrome smoothies, so it's a cool enough kit.
The highboy was built in the early nineties. That photo is from SAE Contest Annual coverage of NNL Adelaide '9(5,6?).

Nice 1/8 Old Sprinter.. big show all 'round, '57 /G, 'T' truck, Lyle..

  11. You don't even want to know how I did it hahahaha. Got a bag of sparkles from a craft store downtown for $1.00 and sprayed some clear on the car to get it to stick then sprinkled it over and cleared the **** out of it.

My girlfriend got a couple sparkles on her clothes when she came over and made a joke that It is worse than coming to a girls house when she comes over. (I use the sparkle teachnique on a lot of cars I build. I will be doing a gold '55 T-Bird soon where the whole body will be flaked.

Have you got a picture of that 59 Ford as well?

This is a Gunze Sangyo 1/32 kit from 20-25 years ago. Lovely little thing. I'm gonna leave it unpainted and all plasticky, I like it that way ( it shows off the crisp tooling).

I'm having a battle keeping this one out of Nerd's hands.

I thought it was the 1/24 monogram 59 Ford kit. You can keep it now, not a fan of 1/32 kits. Thanks for posting it anyways.
