That one of McMullen's roadster is unreal! Is that yours? If so I'd sure love to see more pics of it, that has to be the most realistic one I've ever seen!
Bonneville Speedweek is coming up. How about some compe***ion cars. Here's some pics of my 32 A/FR roadster
Lyle, Once again the photos are great , Thanks for taking time to post. I look forward to seeing the models each Sunday. Thank you Sir.....
First thing is all those models cars are amazing. I love that Bonneville 32 roadster, nice work by everyone. Here's a Edmunds Offy midget I am 100% scratch building (including the tires). It is 1/8 scale from original plans. I'm building the body out of fibergl*** and the rest is styrene, br*** and aluminum.
Another cool Sunday on the HAMB. Thanks for keeping this going, Lyle. southpier, my roadster is 1:25th scale, and excepting the highly modified body and frame, is almost entirely scratch built. Seat buckles are photo etch parts. Old Sprinter, great scratch building. I've always wanted to scratch build an Offy, although I don't know what I'd put it in. I looked at a few other pics in your album. Really liked the STP turbine and the black sprint car. Nice work. Volksrods, the Nomad is beautiful. Your photo skills are excellent too. That thing looks as real as can be. Nice build. Happy Independence day to you all.
Alyn, love that roadster!!! Old Sprinter the Edmunds Offy midget is fantastic!!! and Volksrods that is a great Nomad!!!
Great stuff again this week. I especially liked Volksrods outdoor shots. But what's up with all these finished models I just can't seem to finish anything. Here's my latest project. I really didn't like the molded in recesses in the sides of the hood so I cut them out. I plan on using some aluminum mesh in the openings.
Wow, what great stuff today. Super detail & very convincing photography! I get carried away spending hours making parts that don't exist in kit form. One of those is a '50 Crestliner accessory steering wheel. I started with the steering wheel from the '50 Ford kit & thinned the existing spokes, & added another set made from s**** plastic. Lots of reshaping & flattening of the center. I made the horn center from styrene tubing. Today, I worked on the spokes for the horn ring. I also tried to make the "F" in the center. While it's not perfect, It came out better than I thought it would. Still lots of work needed on the both the steering wheel spokes as well as the horn ring spokes.
Sunday Models has been a regular for a while. Usually some good stuff here. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/search.php?searchid=14410587
