Sunday Models 7/7/13

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 30FordNerd, Jul 7, 2013.

  1. Wow, this has to be one of the best turnouts for Sunday Models! So many great builds.

Hacker Joe, Love your brass work, something I dabble in as well.

Ok guys you are probably sick of seeing these but it illustrates that working in brass is not as difficult as it may seem. If I can do these below there are many of you out there with much more talent than me that could and should give this a try!

Rail chassis, built exactly like Joe's from pictures and there abouts engineering. Draw up your own plans and go!!

And then there is an O/T build but it again shows what you can do, Aston Martin DB5 in 1/32 scale.

Since I decided on the 4spd for the car, the original crossmember will be deleted in favor of a tube style.
Working with the silver bearing solder at this point because it's so forgiving & easily re-profiled for best configuration.
Will shape a bending buck out of some wood for consistancy & use aluminum rod for the final product.
