Well as promised here's the front end pic's of my 37 ford i showed last week. Here's my 34 ford that's been an i progress forever. I'm now refering to it as the Gentleman's hot rod as the suspenion is stock and still has fenders. The body did get channled the frame width, the only i haven't decided on is to run the stock spare tire or not. enjoy Skinanbones
'57 Chevy 210 - mild custom, circa 1965 Revell BelAir converted to a 210. No, the seats aren't greenish-yellow, they are light tan, but my lights made them look greenish.
Wow, love the 57. The 34 is kool. I like the color on the 37 too. Got back last nite from NNL 18 in Waukesha WI. I had not been there for a while. I had a great time and got to see a lot of kool stuff. Got home late but well worth it. Here is my Zinger Super Van. I once owned a 68 Dodge van and after watching Mark build that Dune Buggy I got interested in these things. I got some paint on my falcon too. (finally)
I picked these up Saturday from an uncle. I need some info on the Thunderbird. It was made by Premier Products co. of Brooklyn New York. It is kit # 1366-89. It is missing the instructions and one front seat. I did a search for info but found nothing.
Premier kits from the '60s are relatively rare compared to their kits from the '50s. Along with their contemporaries, Palmer Plastics, they produced some of the worst, most inaccurate, kits of all time. They do have some small collectible value to kit collectors and model builders who enjoy a laugh. For instance here are Palmer models of the '63 Riviera and Porsche Cabriolet...
Lyle nice 57 there. Had that model myself. Did alot of stuff to it but my son got the best of it and distroyed it.
Some more from me. The El Camino is an old build. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. This is more like it! This one went from a wrapped box to finished in less than 24 hours (for a message board challenge) And my never ending project- 1959 Caddy radical custom "Coupe Devil"
Here's the latest from off my workbench.... Inspired by a piece called "Orchid Flake", by hot rod artist Keith Weesner, I decided to do a quick and dirty build of a early 60's style '61 Ranchero, that I call, the "Orchid Hauler"... The Ranchero was lowered and shaved of handles and emblems... Chrome steelies and white walls came from AMT's recently re-issued '62 Catalina kit... Custom tail light lenses from AMT's '57 Fairlane kit were used in place of the stock Ranchero pieces. After priming, paint started with Testors One Coat "White Lightning".... The roof was then masked and the lower portions of the body were fogged with two different shades of Pure Ice brand nail polish... #763PC "New Lilac" followed by #542 "No Means No". This was then topped with Testors High gloss Clear and finally a coat of Future. I had wanted a 260 or 289 in place of the big block Chevy found in the kit, but, after a search of the kits in my stash failed to turn up an acceptable example, I instead went with a 421 Pontiac, pieced together by combining components from both AMT's and Revells Parts Pack offerings... Interior was kept extremely simple too... Only additions were the steering wheel from AMT's '62 Catalina and a shifter made from a straight pin... Color is Tamiya Pearl White... Molded in pleats on the seat were painted with pearl purple marker... Floor was carpeted with purple flocking There it is folks... Hope y'all like it (Now, back to work on that '49 Ford g***er!)
