Slim Louis that Skeeter car is nice BUT it looks to be Chevy powered to me. To find home on the HAMB,look at the top of the page,Click on the HAMB sign and follow the link to the INTRO page . By the way Welcome......
Thats an old Ford Y block, from the AMT 56 kit. Distributor was in the rear and exhaust manifold was similar to the chevy sb. http://www.ford-y-block.com/enginepics.htm Thanks for the comments!
Slim, I know you know your engines! With all the builds under your belt, not to mention that just about every motor imaginable has been used in a short track car somewhere at sometime or other, you probably have seen most of them.....and thanks for the additional reference for my build library! Glad to see you here.
I built three different motors for this Vickie so I could get the headers to fit around the frame rails and the hood to fit! Was bound and determined to use the stock radiator shell on this one! So here it is! (True story!)
Hey Slim, gotta show us more of the car you're using for your avatar!!!!!!!! I'm diggin' that one too.
Here's my 40 Ford Coupe/Asphalt modified by request, thanks Doc! Chassis fabbed up from the New-tool 57 chevy street machine kit (I like using those chassis for modified etc. you will see!) Small block Ford (NASCAR KIT, I think) my decals, after market coil overs and wide five wheels.
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!!!!! Man ya can almost hear them running on the asphalt on Saturday night!!!!!!!! That's a sweet build Slim!!!!!!!!!
So I just got home from work, Sunday is almost over, and no one posted any model car threads or pictures! What gives? Are we having nice weather, everywhere? I might have to post something on Monday or Tuesday! Heaven forbid!
You and car toon didn't look hard enough. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356232&highlight=sunday+models
