Finished one this week, Revell 32 Sedan. Mostly from the box, but I did change the discs out for drums.
Wow.... Nice work guys, I wouldn't have the patiance to sit there. Very cool stuff, On the Rambler that is Bad Ass!!!! Keep it up.
Great looking builds, again, this week. Love the old school "Barris/Roth" customs and hot rods. Reminds me when I was twelve your old reading Rod and Custom and Hot Rod! Great looking builds, Lyle nice to see some other race cars here. I just can't help slapping a number on the door! All of my builds here wewre made from showroom stock kits, fabricated the same way they built the real ones back then!
Was going to start by saying which ones were my favorite, but then they all are very awesome!! Keep up the killer work guys!
Great looking models & in my budget for a winter build maybe Ill ask Santa I would even take some misfits
great stuff guys. I really like that 59 elcamino. wild! here is the interior I've just finished for a 49 ford. maybe I'll have the car together for next week. shame the builder ran out of $ and couldn't afford the rolls on the bottom of the back seat.... got this freebie last week, it would make a crazy rod but I'm not sure if I'll try!
Fantastic builds from all you guys this week! I know the hobby is in good shape because of you... Joel
Hey Slim, Long time... sorry I've been off your forum for so long. Was wondering.. might this be a Geno Wagner car the Wisconsin / Illinois gang. The A4 looks very familiar. Later, Gary
I don't have anything HAMB-friendly this week, as I'm still doing a replica of my old F350. But earlier this week I went thru the store room & looked at some of my ooooold builds- from when I was in middle school. How far back does traditional hot rodding go for me? This was built in about '86 or so, IIRC. Lopped the fenders off, parts box intake manifold & air cleaner, & parts box wheels & tires. I think I'll restore this one someday soon. Its had a hard life in a box for 15 or so years!
You guys are NUTS. Love this stuff! Thanks. Found this photo over on http://www.hotrodrevival.com/index.php Slim
Kool Prodohme stuff there. Thanks for all the words for the 59 and my Rambler!!!!! Glad you all like them. Here's another one I'm workin on. A 77 Hornet SCCA (Trans Am styled) race car. Nascar chassis All AMC power
Love the 1/16 scale ads!. Here are couple I did a while ago. The Garlits won me a contest!.The green rail is 1/24 scale I got as a glue bomb off e-pay but still turned out petty cool! Mel
Great stuff this week. Heres a small update on my version of the Hollish Bros. Coupe OK , well after discussing the progress with the owner of the Hollish car it was determined that the chassis was a bit too long. So I cut about 1/2" out of the chassis forward of the cockpit. I've also scratchbuilt a fuel pump and a mag. Ive also added some height to the roof as More I looked at it I figured it was too "flat and wide" I hope this modification makes this car more accurate to the original. Thanks for looking... I have been emailing a talking on the phone with the guy who is doing my decals. We agreed on the artwork and they being printed shortly. He wishes to stay anonymous and I don't blame him as he truly is doing this for the love of the hobby and does not wish for it to become a business. With out him this project would not have been able to be done.
It is based on the Neilson A4 he drove, I was a Geno fan when he was a sportsman driver, and a John Riemer fan, too. When they teamed up I was happy! I think Geno drove the A4 in his rookie year, I remember he was really wild. That is about as far as the resemblance of my car goes!
