Here's a '57 that I did a couple of years ago.......I really enjoy detailing the chassis'.

 

Cool!painted the frames rails steel!

 

The 41 Willys is cool!

 

Building a twin engine dragster from this kit, I stole an engine for the drag T.

 

I love that kit.... Along with the station wagon version.....

 

.......I need to get that wagon kit. I want to do it in a Seafoam Green something like I did with this Olds.

 

Finished painting the 57 and the two toned interior.Working on his little brother too! coming along!

 

I opted for the 3 on a tree manual trans set up.

 

I did not like the kit supplied driveshaft,so I used a brass tube and plastic U joints.Much better!

 

The tires needed white walls,so I used the old acrylic flat white and circle template kit.Works well!

Did this '65 Galaxie over 40 yrs. ago. Utilized 22 cal. shells for the exhaust dumps and ball point pen springs for the rear suspension.

 

Yeah, I know I need some truck arms and a Panhard bar.

 

Nice.....time for a rebuild with those parts and a painted underbody.

you topped my effort. These were side mount headers made into under car style. They were drilled out for racing. Somewhere along the line I added the street hookups.

 

Cool!I think the driveshaft is missing,though.

Started to foil the chrome trim.

 

....................You know how it is..........they're never really done.

 

.......I just remembered that I also used the ink tube from that same ball point pen for the front axle. I was apparently much more innovative in my younger days.

 

I sometimes hit the dollar stores to find stuff for model car building.....

 

Scrounging parts for my future junk yard diorama.

 

Hard to believe that I kept this nearly 40 years. My thing as a kid was to buy multiple models of the same thing. This way I had extra parts, sometimes as cool as the completed car.
There's that driveshaft!

 

I like the chrome bell housing/scattershield on that engine!

 

Thanks, it was one reason why I bought more than one. Another was to get enough pieces to separate the flip front end. It was a model of what I wanted my car to look like. Back then, a '67 kit was not available, so I painted this '66 Granada Gold with automotive touch up rattle can paint.
