Wow! Fantastic build! I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize that I was on the model thread. I thought I was looking at a real car. I wish I could weather like that.
Holy crap! I clicked on this thread and the first thing I saw this morning was this. That looks so damned REAL! Wowie!! I honestly thought I was seeing a real car.
Happy Easter/Passover! There’s some great models being posted lately! I dig em all! Here’s my 55 Chevy gasser Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Here’s my current build. It’s a 30 ford coupe with a scratch built frame that was “z’d” and I am adding details to the engine like fuel lines, dipsticks, vacuum advance, and freeze plugs. The body was channeled four scale inches over the frame. I cut the pulleys away from the belt and made one out of masking tape. I weathered the lake pipes out of the 29 roadster kit and cut off the dumps. I am going to keep it unchopped and add flames. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Heres a couple in the works, Hybrid Torino stock car, full race Challenger with Nascar chassis, the 63 is a fixer upper I picked up, the 56 truck has top fuel donations. The rest are just some cabinet shots.
Finally the motor is finished, the paint on the zoomies is still tacky. As usual, just can't wait to have a few photos done to see how it looks in the lights. The car is about finished, only seat belts and fuel lines to the tank need to be made up. Thanks for looking, Mike..
a few I've finished since being on lock down. Finally received a can of Tamiya French Blue so I can finish the roof scoop and spoiler A phantom Volare These next few are AMT '40 Ford's,I don't know why I let AMT sucker me in to buying these kits because I believe the molds are worn out and tired Did up this 'Vette like the box art and yet again, poor engineering at AMT. I have quite a few other AMT kits that I would probably trash if it wasn't for the fact it would be like burning my money, but I will give it my damnest try to get them looking half way decent....you know the rule, looks good from 6ft I think it is ? Anyway thanks for looking and stay well, hopefully we can finally be able to attend a car show or two pretty soon.
@musclecars, great that the 41 Willys is down and low, love it! Also, I never get tired of 40 Fords, they're just too good. Keep on with them please! Mike..
Well fellows, the Vintage FED is done. I'll have to write, the fuel injection was difficult and intensive, but since I only do one car at a time, I'm pleasured to present the finished car. I need a break now. 150" exact scale wheelbase, brass chassis and fittings, aluminum body, cast nickel rear wheels, copper wire front runners, rubber tires. Motor block, heads and valve covers are styrene, rest is brass, aluminum, nickel alloy, copper tubing and lead solder wire. Thanks for the pleasant support and viewing. Mike..
I havent said much here but I hope you come back after your brake and blow us away with another build. That one was fantastic.[emoji106][emoji106] two thumbs up. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk
