Finally got all the parts to do a all 60s kit bash on a unbuilt 34 Ford coupe/convertible kit, wanting to build it as a early 50s hotrod and the 40 pick up will donate it's engine and unused rims and hub caps.
Another vintage kit a friend bought for me at an estate auction. Of course by the time I get the kit and start to build it the kit has finally been re-released. I still enjoyed building a 50+ year old kit.
Picked up one of those funky Rolls Radios at a Thrift Store today for 2 bucks and it works!plan on improving it .
Went with a brown interior interesting feature is that the seat folds forward, unusual feature on a standard cab truck
Cool!I have decided to use walnut veneer for the planks in the truck bed I cut the veneer into strips and attached them with CA.I will finish the planks with gloss Minwax Polycyclic.
I like minimal paint builds when they came molded in decent colors,I am building a Monogram truck from the 90s that is molded in a metallic color and it's horrible and the 36 will be done tomorrow. I have the same era 34 kit that will be built the same but is going to be a kit bash using all 60s parts.
Merry Christmas to everyone on the HAMB! @Dmf111062 sent me an older built Badman & parts car. This is a gift for a friend. So it didn't end up looking like I did it, I turned it over to a model builder I know. He really impressed me! Check out the torque wrench in the trunk.
