  3. Did you use primer when you painted that blue '40 Ford coupe?

Found a nicer body for my 60 Starliner today, the original body looks to be chopped at the windshield and has a couple things glued on the hood, now to figure out the color to paint it. IMG_20230311_191709470.jpg

A fun guy to follow on FB is Steve Magnate, he builds some interesting models and the king of altered wheel base creations.

Starting to build a 4 cylinder 34 Ford coupe from Monogram parts,it's mostly 60s and 70s parts with some 90s thrown in. Not going to be completely stock but with what parts I can find or have. IMG_20230312_164729550.jpg

Found this AMT 40 coupe in the collection I picked up and think I can save it,it's the best of all the 40s and will have plenty of parts to do something with it even though I ha IMG_20230312_165429292.jpg ve plenty of them now and really do not need to build another. I have a few of those Lincoln engines from the T kit so one is going in and most likely build as a beater or work in progress.

Just picked up a couple of 32 ford models at Ollie's, Monogram. $12.99 each. Looks like a nice kit. Also a c5 Z06 since I have a C5 plus they had a 57 Nomad.

Does anyone have a '64 Dodge 330 body they would like to part with? Like the Color Me Gone, Ramchargers or the kits that had the V8 or Slant 6, like this one?

@65pacecar I had decals shrink up and wrinkle on me, 20 minutes after the last coat of clear. Only some of them. I didn't use Tamiya Decal sol on all of them and I don't remember which ones, so I think that was the problem. Long story short, I have the rest of the build almost done and only need the body. I thought about buying the whole kit but I hate to pay that for just the body. I found on that is on it way. This build is my 3rd '64, in a row, I'm ready to move to something else! LOL. I got a '48 Ford I am wanting to finish for a friend on mine then I think I'm going to build the Blair's '64 Plymouth, I found a guy that will make the decals.

understood and certainly been there before. Good luck on the new body. Who is the decal guy, I would love to build Dean Minks Race Hemi Cuda, red with gold lettering. One of my favorite cars of all time and a good friend of the family.

  18. Finished this AMT Fiat A/A Dragster recently. It's straight from the box, only added plug wires to the engine.

why not just strip the paint off the body and start over again with some purple power ?

  22. It's the HEMI with blower that came with the kit. Not much to be seen of it because the body is so small and tight.
