Resin Altered Wheelbase 65 Chevelle on a shortened Revell frame and a Chrysler 440 and velocity stacks just to be different!

 

I got the engine mounted up ,in order to make it fit I had to remove the oil pan and replace it with a shallower unit in the reversed position

 

Made the roll bar ,took awhile to get the height correct.

 

Making a larger truck out of a Monogram 40 Ford pickup,using mostly left over parts on this build. Engine is from a AMT 57 T bird and the two speed rear axle is from a Lindberg Dodge cabover.

 

Installed the glass and dash board .Just for fun I sprayed the glass with transparent red.

 

Took it outside for some photos.

I have one of the original AMT version I need to restore.

 

Didn't that come with a trailer and tow vehicle?

 

I think it did but I got mine back in 74 out of a car in a junkyard with other models and parts.

Doing a chassis rebuild on the 40 built in the 70s,all the bumper brackets were broken off and I plan on using the custom bumpers. Adding the 390 from the 34 pickup kit.

 

Quick polish and a little detail. I had gotten a "fixer upper" Willys last year, and the more I take it apart it the more it seems like somebody's dog built it. I have my work cut out.
