I'm calling it "Before & After". Just a quick curb side build. I built this for a local car club to raffle off at their next show. I couldn't figure out if I wanted to build one of my usual weathered builds or something nice, so I did both on one kit. I'm sure this has been done before but it's a first for me. It was a fast fun build.
Very cool!I have that kit and when I decide to build it I will cut the hood open and put a Ford Big Block in it
I got a little trigger happy Sunday and went to Harbor Freight and bought me one of these airbrush kits.... Can't wait to try it out!....
Little Giant 1951 Crosley B/A Body and chassis are all scratch built. Body was made using reworked AMT 51 Chevy fenders, modified Revell 53 Chevy hood and a Revell Henry J windshield frame and roof section, the rest was made with Evergreen Plastics. Chassis and all suspension components all scratch built. Engine is AMT Chevy 2 with AMT Hilborn injection manifold from their Nomad kit. Scratch built items include, magneto , fuel pump and injection tubes, headers, Hurst Syncro Lock shifter with full linkage, wiring and fuel lines added. Paint is airbrushed Tamiya Bright Orange and decals were custom made by STS Scale Model Decals. Project took approximately two years to complete.
I built this a few years ago from a vintage build that was damaged and missing parts, turned it into a "gasser".
Picked up this one at a model swap meet today, built one around 1973 and did not notice the decal with the engine size is false advertising as it has a small block. If I can come up with a 1/24 big block it might go in.
