There photo etch and resin and like I said it was done at least 10 to 12 years ago. I dont know where I came up with them(maybe model car garage). Shit I cant remember what I did yesterday.
Ive been in contact with them, and G.M. They haven't Made it since the mid 80s. I building a model of a friends c-10, and that's the color it is painted. I've come to a standstill.
Ya might try your local automotive paint supply. Some can mix correct colors and put it in spray bombs.
One more, (only pics I have of this one).................... I have a few more I`ve built lately, need to get the camera out one day.

Here is another place you can try: microfinish.com I've gotten custom paints mixed from them before (but not recently) for 1:1 and model cars in small quantities and aerosol cans. Gary
Who cares that it's not Sunday.. Gotta fix the paint on the truck, the paint leaked straight through the tape
Dick Tracy body w/yellow 3 window top, slight chop and longer doors rescribed. Drag City Casting (Ed Fluck) louvered hood, sides and trunk kit for tha AMT '36 Ford. Revell '36 custom grill shroud with Corvette teeth. '37 Ford lenses in custom buckets.
I got the new one. I’m building the Pierson Bros. coupe from it using the custom parts and chopped top. I am debating the early version or later with louvered hood and side panels. I plan to ‘plate’ the dash board too. It is a great kit I wish I’d boughten years ago.
Here is one that I just recently finished up. Inspired by and fairly closely replicated the details of a car here on the HAMB. I copied the pictures of the T on here when I saw it knowing that I would probably build a model to replicate it. I meant to send the owner of the car pictures of the model when it was finished but now I cannot find the thread that I originally saw the car in and I do not remember his HAMB handle. Anyways, here she is. Here is the inspiration.
I could be mistaken but I thought there was a model builders social forum. I've searched and can't locate it if it exists. Any help appreciated. John
Here you go Toner: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...post-pictures-of-what-you-like.132391/page-37 ...Post 1101 Great model by the way! Dave
Thanks! That is the car that I used as inspiration. However there was a thread about that car that they had a bunch of different pictures of it and a couple of short videos of it. The modelers social group was disbanded a while back. The guy who was running it had other commitments and no one else was willing to step up and take it over. I was in the same boat as you, I did not get to spend hardly any time on the HAMB for a couple of years and when I came back I went looking for the modelers social group. Had to send a private message to the gentleman who used to run it to find out what went on.
Nice job on the roadster! I ordered two kits. They should be tomorrow. Hope I can find time to build one......
Here is my contribution for this week. An old built up I rescued at the last model club swapmeet I went to. It was on one of the vendors tables and it just kind of spoke to me from across the room with the marked up yellow paint and the hand painted flames. Only paid 10 bucks for it with no engine, handles, mirror, taillights or antenna. Upon closer inspection when I got home, I also have discovered that it had the wrong chassis underneath it. It had one out of a 36 Ford kit that didn't fit very well. The front inner wheel wells had also been cut out at some point and were mia. I felt sorry for the poor thing and set about seeing what I could do to rescue it. I dug into my parts stash and grabbed an old broken fender unit to cut the inner fenders out of, then gathered up some handles, taillights, a mirror and an antenna. Found a spare 40 chassis from another issue of this kit and found a flathead for it. Went about rebuilding and repainting it putting new parts on it without disturbing any more of the original build then was absolutely necessary (funky green "custom" interior and all). It also had steelies with baby moons and pinner white walls on it when I got it and I changed those to wide fives and white whites. Here she is. Whattaya think?
