63 Impala bubbletop in-progress pics. AMT 63 Impala body, Lindberg 61 Impala top, Revell 64 Impala chassis and interior.
This is a car I previously posted on the Model Cars Magazine site. I got the inspiration from a car featured in a 1967 Hot Rod Magazine named "Tobasco". Tried to be faithful to the the cars of the era. Ed
The bubble top is so cool. That would take more patience and talent then I will ever have. Love the interior too!
Thanks for posting photos of the 55 gasser. cool build. Flat blue primmer , tinted plexi glass nose bleed stance.= FUN.
Good morning. Its Sunday, so I'm hoping to see some models today. I will start with a few of my slot car track. We call it DRAGSVILLE USA. It may not fit this post here. So if anyone likes them I will keep posting, and if not please say so, that's ok too. I been meaning to do a build, but I been busy on the coupe. Still its more fun playing with my Grandson Eli and the slot cars! We have lots of bad crashes and run over cows when they wonder onto track. ha. ha. Thanks RON...
Red jacket guy has it made! ^ Steppin' out to his '40 while his gal beelines for the Edsel. Start/finish line at the front door! Great stuff.
I think it fits just fine, Ron. I personally would like to see a wide angle view of the entire layout.
Check your settings on your camera, there should be a macro setting. Even my old cheapy flip phone camera had one.
I don't know where my text went..... but as you can see this is scratch built that I started back in 1984. It started with the wheels that are industrial roller about 3" in dia. Its not a model of any particular car but a prototype of a "DeBorde 8 Super Touring Sedan model M" (me). I cast the radiator, headlights and door handles from zinc. The bumpers are stainless wire, the hood ornament is a charm, the taillight is a grease fitting, the gas filler is a oil cup, the body and fenders are wood. The car is about 18" long
Fun to see some more post. What's the story on the wood sedan? had to take a lot of time. Looks very old. I will see if I can get a fly over, Dragsville, and photo. ha. ha. Ron...
Yes it is . I added text to the original post, don't know what I did to the text to start with. Its not to any scale, I just eyeballed it and had fun.
