Here's a '49 Ford Coupe and '50 Convertible that I built around 1961 or '62. Go easy on me, after all I was only 11 yrs. old.
I built this one about 4 years ago and was one of my earlier builds. I had the color wrong, and my skills were less than they are now so I decided to do it again. I'm much happier with this one.
I've read this thread for a long time and the skills and talented people here have inspired me to try building again. I'm hesitant because my detailing isn't in the same level as most of yours, but here's my humble time killer.. My parts pile junker tow truck And building that, inspired me to build something to house it...so I'm scratch building an old hot rod workshop. I used mostly popsticks, matches and a bit of 3ply. Thanks for looking and keep the inspiration coming [emoji4]
I just got my Bambi and a yellow / white Shasta today. They were sold as a pair / set and are just fantastic. The single Shastas in other colors are not in yet as far as I can tell. They have also announced a tear drop and a small Winibago about the same size as the Shastas, too. For 20 bucks each, how can you not go wrong. Gary
Thank you very much for the encouragement. Still a long way to go, need to make the roof look rusty and old. Tossing up between a cement or wooden floor. Also going to plant it in a setting so I can give it a bit of weedy greenery too. If you like, I'll post up some more progress as I go along [emoji4]
N scale I think is 1/150, the people & the two 40 Fords in the right rear are N scale a little smaller, thanks.

I really liked your diorama display using the Danbury Mint Highland Park diner model. The actual diner is located in my home town Rochester, New York. In the 1980's the diner was purchased, restored and run by Bob Malley who was well known by our local vintage car loving community. He later sold the diner which still operates today.
Some of the outstanding cars at yesterday's Tulsa Modeler's Forum show. The detailing on the Inch Pincher was outasight. The nicest build I have seen of the Johan Turbine Car.
Speaking of model car shows, the annual and next to last MAGS contest held at the NSRA Southeast Nationals over the first weekend in April was pretty cool. I was the judge for my car club, the Tampa Knights, and I selected this gasser for our club pick. It was built by Joe Evans and he also won first in his class, Nostalgia Racing. Next year will the be the last show, and 25th Anniversary of the MAGS hosted model contest. Be there or be square. Gary
Happy styrene Sunday! I got a bit done today... I slipped on some decals on these two Polar Lights Torinos, and I added bare metal foil window trim and drip rails to both. I also finished up a Zinger Dodge van that I got a couple weeks ago. That was a quick 5 hour build. It looks like I've still got a few to do! See y'all next week!
