Did a little work on the Bonneville block, shot progress pics of the Pacers' roadster, and rebuilt the stock fuel pump in my F-1. The previous owner copped out for an electric pump when the original mechanical unit perished. He abbreviated the plumbing and substituted a lot of hose for hardline, so I'll be recreating that tomorrow. The best part of all this is that when the fellow made the changeover he removed the fuel-pump pushrod from the block which explains the drop in oil pressure that I'd attributed to old age. Put in a new pushrod and the oil pressure is excellent! This is going to be an excellent motor for a simple, low-buck hot rod once the new one is done and in the truck. Didn't set the world on fire but rate it as a pretty good weekend all in all.
Sold a buncha un-Pontiac crap at the local swap meet and made heavy scores of a Poncho nature.....separate post to follow with Pics..
Frank, nobody makes a kit for a small block ford. I found this unfinished pair and they only needed to be welded up. I've never made headers before, I did buy a set of flanges U-bends and megaphones to make a set but I guess I'll use them on the next car.
Finished work on the wood behind the door posts on the A roadster. Steamed and bent the piece that goes atop the body behind the seat. Started fabricating the seat back and figuring out how to attach it. Side panels and door panels are next.
bought a new 350 chev for my AD pickup , pulled the tired 454 and tore it down, inspected the parts, probably gonna sell heads and block. yanked off the cab too so it is just a frame with wheels now . time to start cleaning and building a new frame. ian
