Hi all, can someone tell me from which brand my sunvisor is? I have to stiff-up the center part of it, under windy conditions on the highway its moving up & down. My first idea was to adapt a center brackets for Fultons to get it stiffer, but maybe i can find a orginal center bracket if i know the brand of mine... That looks like a factory GM one, I had a couple of those with the louvers on the ends and they were GM and some even had original part numbers on them. The ones I had used a wider, cast base center piece.

Keep in mind, when these were sold new, very few cars did any traveling faster than 55 mph. They weren't really designed for modern highway speeds. Many Fulton visors have been damaged or destroyed in the last 20 years by people putting them on old cars and trucks and trying to do 80 with them. This one should be stamped steel and a bit heavier and could hold up to more, potentially, but it wasn't ever really supposed to.

This one is also mounted up very high on the roof and almost parallel with the top of the roof, which is unusual. A center bracket tying the leading edge to the center windshield divider would be a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback, did the Oldmobile sunvisor had the louvers on the sides?

Sun visors are not traditional custom car items, We took those things off an threw them in the junk. They were originally sold as "frost shields to keep the frost off your windshield in the winter time in northern states like Minnesota.
Non believers can go to Rik Hovings Custom Car Chronicals and go page by page though the traditional customs from back in the day. Any car in his pages with a visor is clearly a California Bomb lowrider style build.

Perfect, i found some pics on the web from an 88 Oldsmobile sun visor from 53`, looks exactly like mine. Did they had brackets for the assembly to the rain gutter or just screwed directly as mine?
